More About The Doctor:

Dr. Faiza Adam Abdirahman has over 10 years of extensive experience in managing pediatric and neonatal illnesses. She has worked in the pediatric department in different governmental Hospitals in Sudan, Somalia, and in a private hospital in Kenya. She worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), or Doctors Without Borders, in Somalia. She had worked as a pediatrician in JCI-accredited hospitals in the UAE, Belhoul Specialty Hospital in Dubai, and Saudi Germany Hospital in Ajman. Dr Faiza has been working in Al Garhoud Hospital since 01/07/ 2022 to date.

Professional Courses:

Dr Faiza is up-to-date, certified by the AHA (American Heart Association) as a provider of :

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) .

Dr. Faiza had been participating in paediatric and neonatal emergency courses in Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, and up to date she takes part in paediatrics and neonatal updates in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Areas of interest:

Dr. Faiza can put the patient and the parents of different cultural backgrounds at ease in an empathetic way, as she has a decisive emergency response in methodological and systematic ways in common paediatric and neonatal emergencies, such as:

• neonatal resuscitation and emergencies
• respiratory emergencies; acute respiratory distress, apnoea, severe croup, acute exacerbation of asthma,
• severe dehydration, shock,
• seizures, high-grade fever, sepsis
• severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
• other pediatric illnesses.
